Era of Women Power

There was a time when women were regarded as the most ignorant class in this society. They were used to be tortured & used mentally & physically. Women were even denied to have scholarly education.

But in last few centuries we can find that woman power is increasing. In this country on many occasions women have shown the male dominated society that they are no less in any field. Sister Nibedita, Begam Rokeya, Mother Teresa, Indira Gandhi & so on were the torch-bearers who encouraged women to lead an independent life in this nation & showed the level of woman power. The fire got ignition with the support of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Raja Ram Mohan Roy, Sarat Chandra Chattopadhya, Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar etc who realized the real power of the Indian women.

Now a days, the sense of equality between men & women have seeped in at least in the minds of literate people if not the whole society. Today India is full of women talent in various aspects. Administration, sports, entertainment, media, business world & everywhere women are making miracles. Countless Indian women are now famous worldwide. Pratibha Patil, Mayawati, Mira Kumar, Sonia Gandhi, Mamata Banerjee are renowned names who are ruling over the administrative sections. Women like Kiran Bedi are inducing threat in the mind of corrupt people. P.T Usha, Kunjarani Devi, Sania Mirza, Saina Nehwal are the renowned sports personalities. Our entertainment world is worthless & spice-less without famous women celebrities. Sarojini Naidu, Arundhuti Roy, Anita Desai, Lata Mangeshkar, Aparna Sen, Priya Jhingan, Harita Kaur Deol, Punita Arora, Kalpana Chawla, Bachendri Pal & others are making Indians proud all over the world in their fields of talent.

Women are giving challenges to men these days. In education system the percentage of pass among girls are getting higher every year. Women can be described as all rounders because not only are they home makers but also successful personalities in corporate world. The very common words ‘behind a successful man there is a woman’ is true in every angle. In every phase of life they are playing their roles perfectly.

However, there is a part of this society who think that women are of no use in this country. They are a burden for a family & nothing more than that. Till date women are being tortured cruelly & are forced to die at a young age. Female infanticide is a burning issue. These heinous activities are the result of illiteracy. Incidents like these need to stop immediately and people who indulge in such crime should be dealt in a severe manner.

Rising power of women is the indication of the fact that the time is not far away when women will rule the world as it happened in the ancient times.
